Creamy Beef and Mushroom Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 can 10.5 oz condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Fresh parsley for garnish

Method

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes, until they are tender.
  3. Stir in the condensed cream of mushroom soup and milk, mixing well to combine.
  4. Simmer the mixture over medium-low heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until the sauce is creamy and heated through.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve the creamy beef and mushroom mixture over cooked white rice.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and enjoy this comforting meal!

Notes

You can use ground turkey or chicken instead of beef for a lighter option. Add extra veggies like green beans or peas for added nutrition and color. This dish is perfect for leftovers—store in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat in the microwave or on the stovetop.
