Classic Southern Deviled Eggs

This is the one your grandma made for every church potluck and family reunion. Simple, creamy, and perfectly tangy — it never fails. If you only learn one deviled egg recipe, make it this one.

Ingredients
  

  • 12 large eggs hard-boiled and peeled
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • paprika for garnish

Method
 

  1. Slice each hard-boiled egg in half lengthwise and pop the yolks into a medium mixing bowl.
  2. Mash the yolks with a fork until fine and crumbly, then add mayonnaise, mustard, relish, vinegar, salt, and pepper.
  3. Stir everything together until smooth and creamy, taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  4. Spoon or pipe the filling back into the egg white halves.
  5. Dust with paprika and refrigerate until ready to serve.
