Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt together in a bowl and set aside.
  3. Beat butter and both sugars until light and fluffy, then add eggs and vanilla.
  4. Gradually stir in flour mixture until just combined, then fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared sheets, spacing 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake 9-11 minutes until edges are set and golden but centers look slightly underdone.
  7. Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
