Chocolate Hazelnut Crescent Twists

These are the dessert appetizer situation you didn't know you needed. Chocolate hazelnut spread inside buttery crescent dough, twisted and baked until flaky — they look gorgeous on a dessert tray. Make them for a shower or a holiday party and prepare for compliments.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tubes crescent roll dough
  • 1/2 cup chocolate hazelnut spread
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar for dusting
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Unroll crescent dough and press seams to form two rectangles.
  3. Spread chocolate hazelnut spread over one rectangle and top with the second rectangle.
  4. Cut into 1-inch strips, twist each strip twice, and place on baking sheet.
  5. Brush with beaten egg and bake 12 to 14 minutes until golden.
  6. Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm or at room temperature.
