Chocolate Hazelnut Biscotti

Double baked chocolate biscotti with hazelnuts.

Servings: 24 biscotti

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup hazelnuts toasted

Method
 

  1. Whisk the flour, cocoa, baking powder, and a pinch of salt together.
  2. Beat the eggs, sugar, and vanilla, then stir in the dry mix to form a stiff dough.
  3. Fold in the toasted hazelnuts and shape the dough into two flat logs on a lined sheet.
  4. Bake at 350F for 25 minutes, then cool 10 minutes and slice the logs on a diagonal.
  5. Lay the slices cut side down and bake again for 12 to 15 minutes until crisp.

Notes

Dip one end of each cooled biscotti in melted chocolate if you want them extra special.
