Chicken Parmesan

Crockpot Chicken Parmesan is a tasty twist on the classic Italian dish. It’s easy to make and perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 large egg beaten, for the breadcrumb coating
  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 24 ounces marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Optional: cooked pasta for serving

Method
 

  1. Spray the crockpot with cooking spray.
  2. Mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan, and Italian seasoning in a bowl. Dip each chicken breast in beaten egg, then coat it in the breadcrumb mixture.
  3. Place the coated chicken in the crockpot and pour marinara sauce around it.
  4. Cook on low for 5–6 hours or high for 3–4 hours, until the chicken reaches 165°F.
  5. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the chicken and cook for an additional 10–15 minutes until the cheese melts.
  6. Serve over pasta if desired.
