Ingredients
  

  • 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt together in a bowl and set aside.
  3. Beat softened butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar using a hand mixer or stand mixer until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
  5. Stir in the flour mixture until just combined, then fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until edges are golden but centers look slightly underdone, then cool on the pan for 5 minutes.
