Ingredients
Method
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the refrigerated pizza dough on a clean surface. Gently press to thin it out a bit.
- Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
- Add the mini pepperoni slices (if using) evenly over the cheese.
- Starting from one of the long edges, carefully roll the dough into a tight log.
- Using a sharp knife, cut the log into 1-inch slices and place each piece cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush the tops with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder and dried Italian seasoning.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Optional: Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese as soon as the rolls come out of the oven.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving. They are delicious warm or at room temperature!
Notes
These pizza rolls are super versatile! Feel free to add your kids' favorite toppings inside. To make ahead, you can prepare the rolls and freeze them before baking. When you’re ready to eat, just pop them in the oven straight from the freezer, adding a few extra minutes to the baking time. These make great party appetizers or after-school snacks too!
