- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the beef. Cook until the onion is softened.
- Stir in the chopped cabbage and cook for about 5 minutes, until it starts to soften.
- Add the uncooked rice, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes (with their juice), smoked paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Mix well to combine.
- Pour the beef broth into the skillet and stir everything together.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread out evenly.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the casserole is bubbly.
