Beef Teriyaki

We have our own special teriyaki sauce made from mirin and soy sauce that we use to caramelize and tenderize thin slices of beef until they shine.
Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 12 minutes
Total Time 27 minutes
Servings: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp mirin
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp ginger grated
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Method

  1. Stir the soy sauce, mirin, sugar, and ginger together to make the teriyaki sauce.
  2. Heat the oil in a skillet over high heat and sear the beef slices until browned.
  3. Pour in the teriyaki sauce and let it bubble and reduce.
  4. Toss the beef until it's glazed and the sauce clings, about 2 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve over rice.

Notes

Slice the beef against the grain so it stays tender.
