BBQ Smoked Deviled Eggs

Smoked yolk devilish eggs with BBQ-spiced filling.

Ingredients
  

  • 12 eggs hard boiled and halved
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tsp BBQ rub
  • 2 tbsp bacon bits
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika for garnish

Method
 

  1. Smoke the halved boiled eggs at 225F for 30 minutes for a smoky flavor.
  2. Scoop the yolks into a bowl and let the whites cool.
  3. Mash the yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, and BBQ rub until smooth.
  4. Pipe the filling back into the egg whites.
  5. Top with bacon bits and a dusting of smoked paprika.
  6. Chill until ready to serve.

Notes

If you're short on time, skip the smoke and stir a little liquid smoke into the filling.
