Balsamic Brussels Sprouts

Brussels sprouts become tender as they slowly cook with a balsamic-maple glaze. The sprouts become caramelized, and glossy, and they become a tad bit sticky.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lb Brussels sprouts halved
  • 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Method
 

  1. Add the halved Brussels sprouts to the crockpot.
  2. Whisk together the balsamic, maple syrup, olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the glaze over the sprouts and toss until well coated.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 3 hours, stirring once, until the sprouts are tender.
  5. Toss again to coat in the reduced glaze and serve warm.

Notes

Cook on the lower end of the time if you like them with more bite.
