Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp

Baked shrimp and bacon are honed to perfection and have a touch of sweetness and spice.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 10 slices bacon halved
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 0.5 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400F and line a baking sheet with foil.
  2. Pat shrimp dry and toss with olive oil, smoked paprika, and brown sugar.
  3. Wrap each shrimp with a half slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
  4. Arrange seam-side down on the sheet, spacing them out.
  5. Bake 16 to 18 minutes until bacon is crisp and shrimp are pink and opaque.
  6. Rest 2 minutes before serving warm.

Notes

Soak wooden toothpicks in water first so they don't scorch.
