Bacon-Wrapped Dates

Ingredients
  

  • 20 Medjool dates pitted
  • 4 oz goat cheese
  • 10 strips bacon halved
  • 20 toothpicks

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 400F and line a baking sheet with foil.
  2. Tuck a small spoonful of goat cheese into each pitted date.
  3. Wrap each date in a half strip of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
  4. Arrange on the sheet seam-side down.
  5. Bake 18-20 minutes, turning once, until the bacon is crisp.
  6. Cool 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

A drizzle of warm honey over the top takes them over the edge.
