Ingredients

  • 3 lbs chicken wings split at joints, tips removed
  • cups BBQ sauce your favorite brand
  • ½ cup apple cider
  • 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Method

  1. Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together BBQ sauce, apple cider, apple cider vinegar, honey, minced garlic, and smoked paprika until well combined.
  3. Place wings in your slow cooker and pour the sauce mixture over them, tossing to coat evenly.
  4. Cover and cook on LOW for 3-4 hours or HIGH for 2-3 hours, until wings are tender and cooked through.
  5. For extra crispy wings (totally optional but recommended!), transfer wings to a foil-lined baking sheet and broil for 3-5 minutes until edges are crispy.
  6. Return wings to the slow cooker sauce, toss to coat, and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
