Ingredients

  • 1 large apple any variety
  • 2-3 tbsp peanut butter
  • A handful of raisins or granola optional

Method

  1. Instructions: 1 Wash and core the apple, then slice it into rounds about 1/4 inch thick.
  2. Spread a generous layer of peanut butter on one side of each apple slice.
  3. If desired, sprinkle raisins or granola over the peanut butter for added texture and sweetness.
  4. Place another apple slice on top to create a sandwich.
  5. Repeat until all apple slices are used.
  6. Pack the Apple and Peanut Butter Sandwiches in your child’s lunchbox with a small side of veggie sticks or a yogurt cup.
  7. Notes: For a nut-free version, substitute the peanut butter with sunflower seed butter or almond butter. These sandwiches can also be made with other nut butters like almond or cashew butter for variety.
