7-Layer Taco Dip with Tortilla Chips

No cooking required, and it feeds a crowd without any effort. Layer it in a big clear dish so everyone can see all the gorgeous layers — that's half the wow factor. Make it a few hours ahead and refrigerate until party time.

Ingredients
  

  • 16 oz refried beans
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 8 oz sour cream
  • 8 oz guacamole
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup pico de gallo or salsa
  • 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions
  • Tortilla chips for serving

Method
 

  1. Mix refried beans with half the taco seasoning and spread as the bottom layer in a 9x13 dish.
  2. Stir remaining taco seasoning into sour cream and spread over the bean layer.
  3. Spread guacamole evenly over the sour cream layer.
  4. Top with pico de gallo, then shredded cheese, then lettuce.
  5. Scatter black olives and green onions over the top.
  6. Refrigerate until ready to serve, then bring out with a big bowl of tortilla chips.
