7) Crispy Korean gochujang wings with toasted sesame seeds

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lb chicken wings tips removed and drumettes/flats separated
  • 1 tbsp baking powder aluminum-free
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 tbsp gochujang Korean chili paste
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions thinly sliced (optional)

Method
 

  1. Pat wings dry, toss with baking powder, salt, pepper, and oil.
  2. Arrange wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket; cook at 400°F (200°C) for 20–25 minutes, shaking halfway, until golden and crisp.
  3. Meanwhile, whisk gochujang, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, and sesame oil in a bowl.
  4. Toss hot wings with sauce until evenly coated. Sprinkle sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
