5) Maple-Sriracha Wings with Toasted Sesame

Ingredients
  

  • lb chicken wings split into flats and drumettes
  • 1 tsp salt and ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp neutral oil canola or vegetable
  • 3 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp Sriracha adjust to taste
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger or ½ tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 2 tsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions thinly sliced

Method
 

  1. Pat wings dry, toss with oil, salt, and pepper. Preheat oven to 425°F and line a sheet with foil and a rack.
  2. Roast wings 35–40 minutes, flipping once, until skin is crisp and juices run clear.
  3. Whisk maple, Sriracha, soy, vinegar, ginger, and sesame oil in a bowl. Warm briefly if thick.
  4. Toss hot wings with sauce in a large bowl until evenly coated. Return to oven 3–5 minutes to glaze.
  5. Sprinkle sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
