Method
- Preheat grill to medium-high (375–400°F).
- Rub the chicken all over, inside and outside, with oil and spices.
- Open the beer and pour out a third of it. Place the can upright on a small tray, or use a beer can holder.
- Position the chicken so that it stands up on the can. Move to the grill with indirect heat.
- After covering, cook the food for 55 to 65 minutes until the internal temperature of the thigh reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Allow it to rest for 10 minutes before removing the can and carving.
