3. Crockpot Biscuits and Gravy Casserole

I love using my slow cooker for breakfast. It frees up my oven and keeps the kitchen cool. The edges get wonderfully crispy while the center stays soft.
Servings: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 can 16 oz refrigerated biscuits
  • 1 lb ground sausage cooked and drained
  • 1 packet 2.75 oz peppered gravy mix
  • 2 cups water for gravy mix
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Method

  1. Spray the inside of your slow cooker generously with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Cut the biscuits into quarters and place half of them in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  3. Top with half of the cooked sausage and half of the cheese.
  4. Repeat the layers with the remaining biscuits, sausage, and cheese.
  5. Whisk the gravy mix with water in a bowl until smooth, then pour it evenly over the layers.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 3 hours or until the biscuits are cooked through.
