14) Maple-Soy Sticky Chicken Tenderloins

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb chicken tenderloins
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce low-sodium if preferred
  • 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger or 1/4 tsp powdered
  • 1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish optional

Method
 

  1. Pat tenders dry and season lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Whisk soy, maple, vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger in a bowl.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high. Brown chicken 2–3 minutes per side.
  4. Pour sauce over chicken and bring to a simmer.
  5. Stir cornstarch into water, add to the pan, and cook until sauce thickens and coats the chicken, about 1–2 minutes.
  6. Top with sesame seeds and green onions if using. Serve with rice or veggies.
