Servings: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 lb chicken wings split and tips removed
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions thinly sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil or neutral oil for baking/pan

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Pat wings dry and season lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Toss wings with a little oil and spread on a rimmed baking sheet. Bake 35–40 minutes, flipping once, until crisp.
  3. Meanwhile, combine honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer.
  4. Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook until sauce thickens, about 1 minute. Remove from heat.
  5. Toss baked wings in the sticky sauce to coat evenly. Sprinkle sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
