When Graco made its first all-terrain 3-wheeled stroller, I was impressed. The Trekko is a really good product, so I wasn’t expecting them to make any other all-terrain strollers. That was, until they made the Graco FastAction Fold Jogger.

Why Trust Us?

Because my full-time job is being mom to 2 precious daughters, and I know a thing or two about strollers. Besides personal experience, I get feedback from other moms who use these strollers every day and put all that research into our unbiased stroller buying guides

This particular all terrain stroller is one of the most popular there is, rocketing to the top in sales. Let’s take a look in detail at what the Graco FastAction Fold Jogger can do for active parents like yourself, so let’s start with the features.

Sturdiness & Maneuverability

This is a hefty, sturdy all terrain stroller with a nice thick frame. It’s made of oval tubing, which can carry your child up to 50 pounds. The FastAction Fold Jogger accommodates the Graco SnugRide Click Connect 35 or 35 LX as a travel system and it has great stability and balance, so you don’t have to worry about it tipping over.

The wheelbase is two feet wide, which is very good for stability. As mentioned, this is perfect for when you use this stroller with the car seat.

The front swivel wheel turns tightly and the 15-inch rear wheels take on all sorts of terrain like a champ.

Because these tires are air-filled, the cushion from the air gives you a natural suspension system and you have a nice smooth ride. A simple flip of a lever at the front of the footrest locks the swivel wheel into place which provides two functions. It makes going over rough surfaces much easier and gives better stability during your jog.

I also appreciate the reflectors on the rear wheels to add a measure of safety while situations with low lighting, such as early mornings or evening outings.

There is a brake over each wheel, so you have to step twice. While easy to do, I prefer a one-step linked braking system.

Another point to consider is how much this thing weighs. Like most all-terrain strollers or joggers, the FastAction Fold Jogger is big and bulky at 30 lbs. In all honesty, this is the thing most parents aren’t happy about with all terrain strollers. While the weight adds stability, hauling it in and out of the car is difficult.

But the wheels do pop off pretty easily and some reviewers have remarked that once the stroller is in their car, the space isn’t much of a problem.

What is the seat like?

I was impressed with the seat on this all-terrain jogging stroller. While the seatback is comparable to brands like Baby Jogger, the 13-inch seat width allows for plenty of growth room.

An adjustable 5-point safety harness switches over to a 3-point lap belt when your child is older for greater freedom of movement. Parents say that they really like that choice. While the buckle isn’t heavy-duty like luxury brands, it does the job securing your child safely.

The seat recline is fantastic and couldn’t be more simple. To incline, just push the seat up until it clicks into an upright position. To recline, squeeze two bars located on the back of the seat to partial recline or nearly flat.

The child’s snack tray is a big hit – there are two cup holders and a nice little space for nibbles. The snack tray easily comes undone and pivots around for easy ins and outs.

How about the fold?

The fold is unbelievably easy. Just pull up on the little handle strap in the crease of the seat and your stroller folds itself! An auto-lock holds the frame in place and a kickstand comes out so that your jogger is self-standing. I like not having to bend down to get it before hauling it into the trunk. Makes for better stroller storage in the garage or closet as well.

However, like stated above, this stroller is very bulky. Thankfully, you can easily remove all three tires with a push of a button over each for a more compact fold.

Tell me about the sun canopy.

Upon first glace at this jogger, I didn’t really notice anything special about the sun canopy, but it does have some perks that you will appreciate for protecting your little one.

It has adequate coverage, but is not the most generous canopy around. If you get the travel system, the hood on the car seat meets the one on the stroller, giving complete coverage and privacy.

Side mesh ventilation panels on either side allow for air circulation, which is always welcome on hot summer days. Check in with your little passenger with the peek-a-boo window at the top of the canopy.

Storage & Amenities

The FastAction Fold Jogger has some great features for parents!

First, the storage basket is a great size! Roomy enough for a large diaper bag and your purse.

The parent console includes two deep cup holders on either side, which is something every parent is happy to have.

In the middle of the console is a cell phone holder with a spring-loaded latch that secures your phone into place, but parents have mentioned that it’s a little small for most of the latest smartphone models.

Beneath the phone holder is a compartment to hold your little things such as lip balm, wallet, or keys.

The handle is fine. While not adjustable, it’s at a good height for average to tall adult use. Shorter parents have complained about not being able to reach them, though.

For maximum safety, a tether is attached to the basket so that you will always maintain contact with your stroller should you ever fall or become separated. I don’t know about you, but that brings me peace of mind!

What others are saying:

Lots of parents have raved about this stroller’s maneuverability, sturdiness, and handy storage.

Consumer Reports has also weighed in, making the travel system one of their recommended products. It has an great rating with a very good mark ease of use and safety and an excellent mark for maneuverability.

Quite a few parents love how easy it is to assemble.

Lots of moms enjoy how easy this product is to fold. Very handy, they say.

Disadvantages

The Graco FastAction Fold Jogger is not without its drawbacks, and it definitely has a few.

Nearly every complaint is about the bulkiness of this stroller.

Shorter parents feel that the handle is too high.

Several reports say that the kickstand falls off and must be re-attached.

The canopy doesn’t stay open when fully extended to furthest setting. It falls back when jogging, going over bumps or on windy days.
