I wanted a warm, cozy meal without spending an hour in the kitchen, and this one has minimal ingredients. Start by browning a pound of ground beef and starting a pot of boiling water. Once your beef is all brown, you want to go ahead and drain off all of your grease. The leaner, the better.

Making the Sauce
Then add in minced garlic and Italian seasoning based on however much your heart desires, and give it a good mix until you can start smelling that garlic. I also like to add in just a little bit of water to my jar to get out all of the pasta sauce and to help make the sauce a little thinner in the dish. Give it a good mix.
Five simple dinners. One grocery list.
No recipe hunting, no messy shopping notes, no complicated chef projects. Just family dinners that fit real weeks.
And then I am also going to be adding in a quarter cup of heavy cream.
But you want to go ahead and give it a good mix and let that simmer for just a few minutes.
Adding the Tortellini
By this time, my pot was ready. So I put in a pound of frozen cheese tortellini. And when they started to float, I knew they were done.
I went ahead and drained the noodles, added them all into my pasta sauce, and gave it all a good mix. Making sure that everything’s nice and coated.
Broil and Serve
Topped it up with some cheese. Again, measure with your heart here, and then I popped it into the oven on the broil setting for just a few minutes, and before I knew it, dinner was ready. It was such an easy meal, filling, warm, and definitely delicious.
